By the end of this page you will know the four ways Salesforce charges for Agentforce in 2026, what the new Core, Advanced and Max editions actually include, what a 50-seat Hong Kong service team would pay under each model, and the costs that never appear on the first quote.
You will also know when Agentforce is the wrong purchase. Prices below are Salesforce list prices in US dollars, checked against Salesforce's pages and independent breakdowns in October 2026, with approximate Hong Kong dollar figures at HK$7.8 per US$1. Your negotiated quote may differ.
The page is written for the person who has to defend the number: a COO, IT director or head of customer service who has an Agentforce proposal on the desk and needs to know whether the figure on page one is the figure the CFO will see in year two. That gap is where most AI agent budgets go wrong.
How much does Agentforce cost in 2026?
Agentforce has four price meters in 2026: Flex Credits at US$0.10 per standard action, US$2 per conversation, US$2 per resolved service case, and per-user licences from US$5 to US$550 a month. Salesforce Foundations, which gives access to the builder tools, is free, but agents still need one of the four meters.
The four meters, at list price
--- Flex Credits: US$500 per 100,000 credits. A standard action uses 20 credits (US$0.10, about HK$0.78); a voice action uses 30 (US$0.15).
--- Conversations: US$2 per conversation, the original customer-facing model. An org cannot run this and Flex Credits at the same time.
--- Help Agent resolutions: US$2 per resolved case; escalations to a human are not charged.
--- Per-user licences: US$5 Agentforce User License (still draws Flex Credits), US$125 add-ons for Sales, Service and Field Service, US$150 for Industries, and Agentforce 1 Editions from US$550.
These figures come from Salesforce’s Agentforce pricing page, as recorded by Supered’s October 2026 pricing breakdown. Unused Flex Credits do not roll over into the next subscription term.
What do the new Core, Advanced and Max editions include?
On 3 September 2026 Salesforce replaced its edition line-up for new buyers with Core at US$195, Advanced at US$395 and Max at US$550 per user per month, billed annually. Each edition includes a yearly Flex Credit pool for the whole organisation: 500,000, 1 million and 2.75 million credits respectively.
According to Salesforce’s announcement, the editions bundle Agentforce with Slack, Tableau Next, security features and a Premier Success Plan. Existing customers on legacy Enterprise and Unlimited editions keep their current pricing.
The pool is per organisation, but seats are per user. For 20 users, Core's 500,000 credits equal 25,000 standard actions a year, about five per user per working day. Double the headcount and each user's share halves. Treat the pool as a pilot allowance, not a production budget.
Salesforce's own leadership explained the logic: only 5% of Sales and Service Cloud knowledge workers had upgraded to higher editions, as Salesforce Ben reported. The bundles are designed to move the rest up.
What would a Hong Kong service team actually pay for Agentforce?
For a 50-seat Hong Kong customer service team handling 3,000 customer conversations a month at four actions each, Agentforce costs about US$1,200 a month on Flex Credits, US$6,000 on per-conversation pricing, or US$6,250 on the US$125 add-on, before the underlying Service Cloud licences.
Worked example: 50 seats, 3,000 conversations a month
--- Flex Credits: 3,000 × 4 actions × US$0.10 = US$1,200 a month, about HK$9,400.
--- Per conversation: 3,000 × US$2 = US$6,000 a month, about HK$46,800.
--- Service add-on: 50 × US$125 = US$6,250 a month, about HK$48,800, unmetered for licensed users.
--- Help Agent resolutions: if 1,800 cases are fully resolved by the agent, 1,800 × US$2 = US$3,600, about HK$28,100.
Two conclusions follow. Flex Credits win whenever an average conversation uses fewer than 20 actions. The per-user add-on only pays off when each licensed user triggers more than roughly 60 agent actions per working day, the break-even Supered calculates at list price.
Which Agentforce pricing model is cheapest for an enterprise?
Flex Credits are usually cheapest for pilots and customer-facing agents with short conversations. The US$125 per-user add-on becomes cheaper only above about 60 agent actions per user per working day. Resolution pricing suits service teams that want to pay only for outcomes and can accept a less predictable monthly bill.
--- Pilot or one agent: Flex Credits on pay-as-you-go, billed monthly in arrears.
--- Heavy internal users: the per-user add-on, once measured usage passes the 60-a-day line.
--- High-volume service desk: resolutions, if your resolution rate is stable and auditable.
--- New Salesforce buyer: a Core, Advanced or Max edition, using the included pool as a free pilot.
Whichever meter you pick, model three months of usage before signing. The broader shift from seat to usage billing is covered in our guide to usage-based AI billing.
What costs sit outside the Agentforce quote?
Four costs commonly sit outside the first Agentforce quote: the underlying Salesforce licences, Data 360 consumption credits, implementation partner fees, and a planned meter on outside agents calling Salesforce through MCP or APIs. Each can exceed the Agentforce line itself, so budget for them before the business case reaches the CFO.
--- Base licences: Agentforce runs on top of Sales or Service Cloud; it is not a standalone product.
--- Data 360: Salesforce's worked examples explicitly exclude Data 360 credits, which have their own meter.
--- Implementation: agents need clean CRM data, topics, actions and guardrails, usually built by a partner.
--- Headless Platform Interactions: Salesforce says each successful MCP or API call by a registered agent will be metered, rate to be announced with 30 days' notice, per its help article.
Salesforce has changed Agentforce pricing or naming seven times in seventeen months. Negotiate the right to switch meters and convert credits at renewal.
How should you negotiate an Agentforce contract?
Negotiate an Agentforce contract around flexibility, not headline price. Ask for the right to switch between Flex Credits, conversations and per-user licences at renewal, conversion of unused credits, a cap on Headless Platform Interaction charges once published, and written confirmation of which credit pool your edition actually includes.
--- Meter switching: your usage pattern after six months will differ from the pilot. Make the meter a renewal decision, not a three-year commitment.
--- Credit treatment: credits do not roll over by default. Pre-purchase only what three months of measured usage supports, and ask whether unused credits can convert to other Salesforce consumption.
--- Pool confirmation: Salesforce's own pages have given different figures for included credits, 2.5 million on one and 2.75 million on another. Ask your account executive to state the number in the order form.
--- MCP metering cap: if you plan to let outside agents read Salesforce, agree a ceiling before the rate is announced.
A Hong Kong buyer has one further lever: timing. Salesforce's fiscal year ends on 31 January, and quarter-end and year-end deals traditionally carry the most room. Start the evaluation early enough that the deadline is the vendor's, not yours.
Is there an alternative to Agentforce for Hong Kong enterprises?
Yes. Enterprises not already standardised on Salesforce can consider Microsoft Copilot Studio for Microsoft 365 shops, Google's Gemini agent for Workspace customers, or a managed AI staff service such as UD Cloud AI Staff, which offers a HK$0 sandbox activation and configured AI roles in about three working days.
The right alternative depends on where your data already lives. If your customer records sit in Salesforce, Agentforce has the native advantage and an outside agent would itself be metered once Headless Platform Interactions start. If they sit in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, compare those platforms first; Copilot Studio vs AI Staff sets out that decision.
If you have no dominant CRM and want a specific role working quickly, UD Cloud AI Staff lets you trial one AI role, such as customer service, HR, accounting or IT, in an isolated sandbox. Activation is HK$0 with no credit card required, and UD configures the role and language set-up in about three working days.
What are the limitations of each option?
Every option has a real limitation. Agentforce depends on Salesforce data quality and a pricing menu that keeps changing. Copilot Studio and Gemini agents tie you to their productivity suites. UD Cloud AI Staff's free activation covers a single-role sandbox only, and production deployment and pricing are scoped separately.
--- Agentforce: strongest inside Salesforce; costs are hard to forecast before you have usage history, and pricing pages have contradicted each other on included credits.
--- Copilot Studio and Gemini agent: best when your data already lives in their suites; weaker for CRM-heavy service workflows.
--- UD Cloud AI Staff: the activation is a sandbox with one AI role, isolated from production; it does not include cross-department rollout or out-of-the-box integration with core ERP or legacy finance systems, and UD publishes no monthly production price.
For the UD option specifically, our enterprise trial guide explains what the sandbox does and does not cover.
Agentforce pricing at a glance (list, October 2026)
--- Flex Credits: US$500 per 100,000; US$0.10 per action, US$0.15 per voice action; no rollover.
--- Conversation: US$2. Resolution: US$2.
--- Per user: US$5 licence plus credits; US$125 add-on; US$150 Industries; from US$550 Agentforce 1.
--- Editions (from 3 Sept 2026): Core US$195, Advanced US$395, Max US$550 per user per month, with 500K, 1M and 2.75M credits per org per year.
--- Break-even: add-on beats credits above about 60 actions per user per working day.
Verdict by buyer type
--- Already on Salesforce, service-heavy: Agentforce on Flex Credits or resolutions.
--- Already on Salesforce, heavy internal use: the US$125 add-on, after measuring usage.
--- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace first: compare Copilot Studio or Gemini agent before Agentforce.
--- No dominant CRM, one role to fill fast: trial a managed AI staff role in a sandbox first.
Conclusion: price the usage before you price the agent
Agentforce is a capable platform with an honest meter, but the meter only helps buyers who know their own usage. Measure three months of real volume, choose the meter that matches it, and negotiate flexibility, because the menu will change again. If you are not on Salesforce, the cheapest Agentforce plan is the one you do not need.
